Art inspired

The center images are cut-outs from an art catalogue. I think they are ancient chinese watercolours. They made a wonderful base for these scraps. I have more cut-outs from this series, and will certainly make more scraps with them:)

Cozy crochet






Kettle holders
To begin: ch 8, join last ch to first ch with sl st to form foundation ring. Sc 16 sts in the ring. Turn work with one t-ch, sc 5, sc 3 in one st, sc 5, making a triangular shape. Turn with one t-ch, sc to middle of triangle, sc 3 in one st, sc to edge of work, turn with one t-ch. Change colour, and continue this way to the kettle holder is the size you want. Finish by sc around the edge of the holder. Bind off.
